After having successfully exited from the businesses in the USA, his focus came to resolving issues related to environment.
Realising the adverse impact owing to the use of timber in furniture industry, he set out on his journey (in 2009) to find a suitable replacement for timber. After extensive research and testing several derivatives of Banana skin, Jute and Coconut shell, Bamboo was selected as the suitable alternative to Timber. The chosen species of bamboo,
‘Bambusa Bambos’ is one of the highest density species in the world, which happens to be a native of India.
Founded Artison Agrotech for pioneering in setting up manufacturing of World’s First Bamboo based Particle boards, Medium Density Fibre Board in Madhya Pradesh, India. In addition, the Company plans to set up similar Bamboo based particle board plant in Maharashtra & Gujarat. The overall project is expected to generate employment for 35,000 people directly and 2 lakh indirectly. The initiative is having Economical, Social & Environmental Impact. To create sustainable supply of Raw Material, Artison is working with the farmers in MP, Maharashtra & Gujarat and has transformed Bamboo into a sustainable cash crop. Adapting to the Agro Forestry farming model enhancing farmers’ income per acre by about 3 times in comparison to traditional crops.
