BUILDING A GREEN SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY
(From Seed To Board To Furniture)
With a vision to develop organic & eco-friendly products, Artison’s founding team realised the potential of bamboo as a superior “timber substitute” and found that Bambusa Bambos (Katang), a species indigenous to India, is the best fit for the purpose.
The journey that started in 2009 has become a social movement. Now, thousands of farmers, covering tens of thousands of acres across India, partner Artison in bamboo plantation. Through our path-breaking agro-forestry, multi cropping plantation model, bamboo has become a long-term cash crop, thereby increasing yield per acre. Artison’s long term (40 years) buy-back agreement is having a positive impact on the livelihood of farmers and brings socio-economic development in rural India.
Artison is addressing the $500 Billion world furniture market with the Engineered Bamboo Boards. State-of-the-art German technology is being used for the production process. The World’s first Particle Board/MDF unit is being built in Madhya Pradesh, India.
Artison’s committed buy back price enhances farmer’s return per acre multifold. Additionally sharing of the operational profit will enhance the farmers/tribal income further. Adapting to the “AMUL MODEL”, Artison’s mission is to create wealth at rural level by revolutionising the farmer-manufacturer relationship.
